The elderly can get the condition of their body from some body parameters like heart rate and blood pressure. These parameters can be measured by electronic sensors conveniently. For instance, my grandfather suffers from high blood pressure, a common disease among the elderly. With an electronic device, it is easy for him to measure the blood pressure by himself. What he needs to do is just to wrap the cotton cloth containing the sensor around his left or right arm and put the bottom, then the digit of blood pressure will be on the screen of the device within one minute. On the contrary, if he doesn't learn how to use the electronic device, the new thing, it will cost him much time to go the hospital to ask the doctors for help.

The elderly can measure their heart rate and blood pressure. These can be read by a sphygmomanometer, an electronic device that measures heart rate and blood pressure. For instance, my grandfather suffers from high blood pressure, and with a sphygmomanometer, he can easily measure his own blood pressure. He simply wraps the cotton cloth on either of his arms and turns the device on. After one minute, the device will display his blood pressure readings. If he did not know about this device, he would have to visit the hospital several times for his heart rate and blood pressure readings, which are very costly.
I changed a lot of the paragraph because it sounded very broken (didn't flow well), and the word choices could've been better.
