Japanese entertainment

I`m curious about how the world think about entertainment. How about looking at Japan. How the world evaluated Japan. After the opening of a country in the 19 century, Japan absorbed many things from Europe, especially entertainment from the USA. Therefore, the USA entertainment industry has an effect on not only Japan, but all over the world.
