Yes, but we don't realize it. Most native speakers aren't taught those words because that kind of learning happens mostly in primary school.

@spruceh0rn: I had to check the dictionary for definitions of those terms, and I still do not fully understand what phonology is!

@ErialC One thing phonology studies is which sounds exist in a language. For example, Mexican Spanish does not have the "th" sound, while English has 2 "th" sounds. It also studies how sounds are put together. For example, in English, you cannot start a word with the "ng" sound, but in Vietnamese you can. In Chinese, you can only end a syllable with a vowel, an "n", or an "r" sound, but no other consonants. Those are the kinds of things phonology studies. You learn the phonology of your language when you're a baby, which is why you don't study it in school!
