Although both of your sentences technically mean the same thing, “I wish I wouldn’t be so fat” is ungrammatical and sounds unnatural. You should definitely say “I wish I weren’t so fat” instead.

@maryampirhayati98 The correct way to say that is “I wish the car didn’t need to be repaired”. In this case, you’re talking about the sentence’s object (car), as opposed to your other sentence, in which you’re talking about an adjective (fat) which modifies the subject (I). That’s why the verb phrases are so different. Also, in your “car” sentence, note that you should say “didn’t” instead of “wouldn’t”, because it sounds more natural, even though a native would understand you either way.
