I'm having a debate with my teacher over the usage of quit. I think in the following essay using "quit on" is the right way, and my teacher thinks "on" is unnecessary. Which one is right?
Here are the example essay:
Hello guys, I have a confession to make. I am a quitter.
I quit on almost everything possible. I quit on studying, I quit on relationships, I quit on being a groupie, I quit on jobs. I can go on and on and on all night, the list will never end.

你的老師說得對，在這個情況下不需要用on。可能用on不是不正確的，但我覺得聽起來有一點不自然。
對我來說，quit on不太常用，除了一些比較具體的情況。比如說，假如你很依靠一個人，但他想辭去什麼的，你可以說Please don't quit on me. 意思是別辭去（跟Please don't quit一樣），但加這個on me強調如果這個人真的quit，對你的影響會很大

有點不自然
It's better to say just quit. I quit on (at) almost everything I do. Either way sounds fine, there is probably a grammatical preference. I quit studying; I quit jobs; I quit at being a groupie rather than on. It isn't that far from being natural, but just a bit strange in my opinion.

If I take out the "ons," the essay looks like this:
Hello guys, I have a confession to make. I am a quitter.
I quit almost everything possible. I quit studying, I quit relationships, I quit being a groupie, I quit my jobs. I can go on and on and on all night, the list will never end. I just have a feeling that this looks a little weird.

@thetample Looks fine to me!! It implies a tense in English where that is a normal behavior or character trait that you quit on things.

有點不自然
In my opinion it’s possible to say the sentence in your example but does not sound natural.
If you say each sentence you can hear that one flows better than the other.
