@hachi_: firstly, "I would be great" wouldn't make sense in this sentence, perhaps you meant "it would be great"?
the sentences pretty much have the same meaning but in the first one you're not expressing how it affects you, "it would be great" could affect anyone.
"I would appreciate it" on the other hand shows that you are grateful personally and you will be affected positively by the advice.

There's not really a difference between the two! And I think you mean "It" instead of "I" for the first one.
