I've just read a piece of news on Yahoo News Digest, with the title
"Queen Elizabeth (Hurley) gets set to take the U.S. by storm in The Royals".

I have no ideas about the meaning of this title, especially "gets set to take the U.S.".
Can anybody please help me with this? Thx a lot.

The title is a play on words. They're talking about the actress, Elizabeth Hurley. By saying "Queen Elizabeth (Hurley)", they're suggesting she is more important than Queen Elizabeth II of England. It's a joke.

"take by storm" means to go somewhere and make a huge, public impression. So she's going to America and there will be a big fuss.
