Is this correct?

Japanese kids being grown up in the US write Japanese and Kanji. However, their Japanese skills are lower than that of other Japanese kids grown up in Japan.

For example, 10 years girl didn't write 'ふゆ' in Kanji that the same age of kids in Japan definitely are able to write it in Kanji. (冬). Also, their Japanese sentences are a little bit awkward, but still their Japanese are gramartically good.
