Hey guys! 😁
I have been studying English for 1 year, I am on a level where I can understand 90% of any text or TV shows with English subtitles.
I have a great goal this year that is to study as much as I can to better my English.
In the next 8 months I intend to read 30 books and watch 2h of TV show a day. Usually I read the books listening to the audiobook at the same time to practice reading and listening.
I'm not have a lot of urgency in speaking or writing, so I'll just practice my passive skills (listening and reading). Anyway reading and listening helps improve active skills, so I'm going to improve active skills indirectly. Even so, at the end of the year I intend to do some conversation classes on the italk.
I want to make the most of this year because next year I have some projects and achievements. My question is, how will my English be at the end of the year? 8 months is enough to reach a near fluency by reading 30 books and watching 2h of TV shows a day?
Note: At my current level I can already understand 90% of most texts and understand 90% TV shows with English subtitles and some 70% without subtitles.

I cant really predict how much youll improve but i think if you challenge yourself by watching and reading more complicated things as you go through your year you will improve a lot! but there is no replacing having conversations with people.

I would say don't rush. Take things with your own pace. If you like challenging yourself, then go right ahead. Watching movies, listening podcasts/music or reading things you like is a great way of learning and enhancing your vocabulary. I would recommend you also practice pronunciation, like trying to repeat phrases, speak to yourself, etc.

It's more fun to talk to people in the language. One way to do that is to join gaming servers in the USA and talk smack, it's fun.

You’re doing really well, keep up the good work. By the end of next year you’ll either be completely out of your mind and ready for involuntary commitment or completely fluent in English. 🤣

Another way to learn english, is by watching youtune videos, that's what made my english better when i have to talk, because my teachers just couldn't learn me😊

@Mia_The_Unicorn that’s what helped me improve my English and my speaking skills.
teach me, not learn me
