I think if you're already in Switzerland, you should study them in parallel. Otherwise you won't be able to understand the natives for years to come. Swiss German has a very different sound to it and there are lots of differences in grammar and vocabulary with Standard German, so I would approach itoe like learning a different language altogether. Try to make some Swiss friends, and I'm sure you'll see some progress!
