I have a posh accent it's wonderful haha. The "t" sound at the end of words I guess is one thing. But remember for a lot of people "rp accent" is just their natural accent, it's not falsely created. I think that's important to note that it's not a fake thing.

Hmm I would say the "rp accent" is quite similar no matter the region I would say it's from many regions in the south of uk

'Posh' accents would suggest to me that someone is well educated and articulate. I would say that someone with a 'posh' accent could be middle class.

It's like BBC English or the queens English it means "received pronunciation" but for most people with that accent it's their natural accent not "received" I think the term is an old term
