It is deniable that social values has changed during last decades, making much money and trying to gain high social positions are the significant goals for a vast majority of people. Celebrities, famous sportsmen, and rich people seemed are the role models for real life. However, in my view human values like honor, kindness, and so on have already had their stages in our life and many people have already respected to these values, so I disagree with this idea entirely.
Regarding historical heroes who have been admired for a long time, It is distinguished that they were not esteemed because of their possessions or social status, their sympathy, empathy, bravery, kindness, and name it were the prominent features admiring by other people. Even many stories have made based on their courage to encourage other to have these kind of features.
Based on news, a small number of advantaged people, famous artists, and people with better social condition always are indispensable parts of the headlines and the large number of TV programs, movies, and advertisements promote and encourage their life style and portray a luxury life, full of gorgeous parties, expensive shopping, and deluxe clothes. Therefore, these media has provided the context to introduce a new life style to people especially educated middle class. Nevertheless, all well-known people take measures to establish their humanity. Bill Gates is a text book example to illustrate the point, he was the owner of the biggest company in the US and always mentioned as a typical model for a successful life. However, after retirement he founded a favored foundation to help disadvantaged people and also in order to help many researches addressing medical disorders include HIV and Hepatitis. This example determines clearly that many famous people has recognized they need somethings more than fortune and beauty to conquer the hearts of people, “human values’ which can attract others and become unforgettable.
To sum up, I hold the view that, while many praised values always were our criteria to judge people, other values include political power, social status, riches, and a pretty body are seemed temporary and after a while they cannot be more outstanding. From a social perspective, I can conclude the social superiority of new trends in our societies is not a prevailing and comprehensive indication and human values are still the major features for judging.
