1) I do not like my coworker so with that being the case I will not go to his birthday party.

I haven't really used, "...such being the case" in English however... (^^')

I haven't really used, "...such being the case" in English however... (^^')

@jickoon: yeah, it's more comfortable and natural for me to use "so". It's very normal so use to combine two thoughts in one sentence. If I want to emphasize a reason, I will use the phrase "...that/this being the case."
For example, in first sentence, I really want to stress or emphasize the reason why I am not going to go my coworker's birthday party. "I do not like my coworker SO I will not go to his birthday party." sounds natural, but "I do not like my coworker, so with that being the case, I will not go to his birthday party." will emphasize that because I dislike my coworker, that is the reason why I will not go.

/on the side note : i would use '~의 예시(or 예문)' instead of '보기'. example : "that being the case"의 예문: blah blah~
