I find myself more self-confidence and communicative when I wear make-up. It’s like,…I go to a store, the make-up layer tells the merchant: “She’s a grown-up person, not a student, not a kid. Treat her as a grown-up person, please. 聼起來自然嗎?

@alexa_4 hi Alexa! Thank you for your corrections ^_^ But, in this idea "the make-up layer tells the merchant" I mean, when I wear the make-up I feel like the make-up layer becomes a person and tells the merchant, not the make-up artist :|
So, am I right in this sentence?
